[He fiddles for a bit before the video function finally turns on. You get a nice view of his bloodstained shirt and a flash of a bloody face and burned out eye sockets before he starts to slowly pan the camera around.

Look, it's an alley. But it does pan past the mouth of the alley and there's a brief flash of what might be the exterior of the carnival]

[Oh, Jegus. Poor Sollux.]

Yes! I know where you are. Stay there!

[He drops the machine into his lap, where it looks up at a bad angle at the underside of his chin, and leans his head back against the wall. He's so exhausted and hurt, and has been fighting it so the strangers he's been talking to wouldn't hear it in his voice, but he lets it creep into his voice now]

I'm not going anywhere, tz. Trust me.

[Terezi hunts him down, which isn't too difficult considering how ridiculously strong the mustard scent of his blood is. He looks even worse in person, and her voice is a little gentler than usual when she calls out to him.]

Hi, Sollux!

[He pulls himself in a little as he hears someone approaching, but relaxes when he hears Terezi call out. Boy, he must look really bad if she sounds like that.]

Hey tz...

[She kneels down next to him, reaching out to touch his shoulder to let him know she's there.]

How are you doing?

[He stiffens a little at the touch, then his shoulder unknots under her hand. He turns his head vaguely in her direction]

Oh yeah, just great. I'm totally peachy, actually. Can't you tell?

[He bites his lip with one of his few remaining front teeth, and gropes for her, touching one knee and gripping it tightly to anchor himself]

What happened after that giant royal asshole knocked me out?

[She bites her lip, pulling his hand away from her knee and squeezing lightly.]

Gamzee killed Equius and Nepeta. Vriska killed Tavros, and after I spoke to you, I went after her. She wants to kill Jack.

[She stands and tugs on his hand gently.]

[He freezes for a moment. Gamzee killed Equius and Nepeta? Vriska killing Tavros he can believe, but that...?]

[Still stunned by this news, he struggles to his feet, then leans his shoulder against the wall, his free hand rubbing his forehead. His head was pounding. Might have something to do with burning his eyes out with psychic power and then slamming into a wall so hard he dented it. Maybe.]

Yes. Apparently the sopor slime was keeping him sane. [She frowns again.] If you can consider that sane.

[At her question, he shakes his head, as if trying to clear it]

[He straightens a little, and gropes along the wall, trying to feel his way out towards the mouth of the alley while holding tight to Terezi's hand.]

[Jegus, he must be so freaked out. She can't imagine what going blind would have been like without her lusus to teach her. She starts heading towards the mouth of the alley, too, making sure to stay close to him.]

Don't worry, Sollux! I will lead the way. And I will teach you everything I know, too!

[He blinks. Maybe it's stupid, but he hadn't thought of that - that Terezi might be able to teach him.]

Great... you'll teach me to go around licking everything like a creeper? I can't wait.

[A tiny pause] You think it'll work?

[HUFF.]

...I'm so thrilled I can barely contain myself. [But he is smiling hopefully, just a tiny bit. He's also leaning on her a little, and considering how embarrassing it would be to put his arm around her shoulders.] So...how far do we have to go?

[Whatever, man, Terezi has no sense of personal space, so she loops an arm around his waist to steer him more easily.]

Welll, we are kind of underground right now! I am not sure why you had to be difficult and show up here. Most people arrive in the center of the city.

It's my mission in life to to make your life difficult. [Sollux sighed] So...is this some kind of human city?

Yes, kind of! There are mostly humans here, but people from all different universes have been sucked in.
