[He closes his eyes and leans his head back against the wall. He hadn't trolled any of the kids, but he knows a lot about them. He watched them, same as the others, and he's comfortable in Rose's presence even though he can't see and they've never spoken before.]

I just thought it was stupid and pointless. KK can be an idiot when he gets something in his head.

Yeah, I get that about him.

[Rose can't help but smile. Sollux seems okay, especially as she can attribute most of the abrasiveness to his current situation]

Do you mind me asking what happened?

[Sollux groans a little]

Sure, I don't mind telling you, but you probably won't really understand. It's a troll quadrant thing.

[He draws a breath] I don't know if he ever trolled you, but I got into a fight with Eridan - that'd be CA to you. He was hateflirting with me through the whole game, mostly because I was spending time with his fishy princess, Feferi, I think, not because he really had any blackrom feelings for me. FF and ED used to be moirails, but he wanted to go flushed, and she wound up dumping him completely because he's a selfish douchebag.

Anyway, she and I were talking and ED came over, and started trash-talking me again. It was really fucking transparent that he wanted to fuck with whatever sort of red feelings he thought were forming between FF and I, and at the same time force the three of us into an auspiticitude by making FF mediate between to keep us from killing each other outright. Classic ED.

The whole thing pissed me off, so I gave him a fight, but this time he won. He had some new kind of weapon he said was a wand, and it was a lot more powerful than his old gun. It knocked me out, and I guess the feedback from my psionic blasts were what burned my eyes out.

[Rose listens quietly until Sollux is done]

I know Eridan. He kept pestering me about how magic isn't real so whatever I was using had to be fair, like I had ever shown any indication that I cared. He tried to hit on me too...so I made his computer explode.

Still, I hadn't considered that he could be a credible threat...wait! Is that what Kanaya meant when she said she was going to create a wizard?

[Sollux chokes on his laughter] That was you?!

Oh...yeah, that's probably what KN meant. ED said he got the wand from her. Ugh, stupidest idea she's ever had, it turns out...

[She can't help but sound a little proud]

Yes, it was. I tend not to appreciate when someone spends so long berating something I am capable of only for them to turn around and ask me to teach them.

[She frowns at this. She had always considered Kanaya to be rather more sensible about things than that]

Yeah...she said she was going to create a wizard so that I could be stopped from doing whatever it is I do that causes me to blackout on your weird timeline-stalking tracking device. In the event that I may well be indirectly responsible for what happened, I apologise.

Yeah, well, he's a stupid dickwad. That's pretty typical for him.

[He frowns, then waves a hand vaguely]

Forget it. Being blind sort of sucks, but it's got good aspects, too. I've always had visions of the future - pretty much always bad ones, and I heard the voices of people in the moments before their deaths, too. Pretty much, I hated my life. But now those things are gone, and it's better, this way, so you don't need to apologize.

Somehow, I got that about him.

[She nods. Sollux seems to be taking things well, not that she particularly knew how he would be likely to take something like this]

That's a rather optimistic approach to take. I'll admit the sight gifted to those of Seer capabilities is not something I would wish on just anyone.

I'm not usually an optimistic person, but my powers were so shitty, I'm okay with losing them.

Still, it takes a lot of courage to accept such drastic changes.

Mage of Doom? Well yes, I suppose there must have been more possible titles if there were twelve of you. But yes, I'm aware Terezi is your Seer - she contacted me shortly after my entrance to the Medium.

Mmmm... [He doesn't really know how to deal with people complimenting him so he'll just pretend that didn't happen and move on]

Yeah, with just the four of you, it's pretty different than it was for us. We thought at first we were going to do two sessions of six people each, but it turned out to be one big session.

I imagine it must have been rather more difficult if every creature underwent twelve separate prototypings. But then you were able to complete your session so you must have done something right.

Yeah, they got pretty ridiculous by the end. Especially once FF prototyped her horrorterror of a lusus. Vriska's was no party, either. Still, ours wasn't as fucked up as yours! Who's idea was that, anyway?

Well. If I remember correctly, John was supposed to ensure that Jade's kernelsprite was prototyped with something relatively innocuous. Then he fell asleep at a rather unfortunate time and suddenly Becquerel happened.

[Oh man, not another one.] I've never see it. I hear it was huge and tentacled and lived under the ocean. I think Eridan spent most of his time just keeping it fed, and when it died it gave a shout so loud it killed all the low bloods and pretty much everyone else. Killed me, right before I was going to get into the medium, and ff had to come get me and sacrifice one of my dream selves.

Oh? It sounds fascinating. Dangerous, of course, but what would one expect from the zoologically dubious.

I'm still trying to puzzle that one out. I admit I was somewhat distracted at the time but I will get to the bottom of what happened eventually.

Hmm... No clue. Seems like a weird thing to happen.

[She shrugs] I'm sure I could reveal all manner of reasons as to what, indeed, it is with some girls and tentacles but I fear to do so would be to reveal more of myself than I would prefer.

It does, rather. And becomes rather frustrating when all the boys are taking naps right when you need to speak to them.

Probably. But then you could say that of most things.

She does seem to sleep more often than anyone else I know, yes.

Maybe not you personally. I meant that in more of a generic sense.

It has struck me as unusual but I had never considered it to be anything other than normal for her. Jade being unusual is not exactly a rarity, and I say that with the greatest affection for her.
